Best place in Michigan to experience flying. The members there are so friendly and experienced. They love soaring and it shows in their personality
These guys are very nice and love to talk to you about how things work in the sky. I don't fly but I ride my motorcycle by there quite a bit and stop just to watch. They love the company. Awesome people. One day I'll get the courage to have them take me up in one of those gliders.

The property is owned by a private company, the owners consisting mostly of the original members of the non-profit sandhill soaring club.
A great grass runway, with a dated club house (it is under renovation) and two hangars. This site is used extensively for sailplane (glider) rides and instruction. The soaring club located at this field is sandhill soaring club, which also operates the field. The club typically operates weekends from 8 am through sundown, when the weather is good (not raining, winds below 20mph). Regularly scheduled operations are held April - October, with occasional operations held during good weather and special holidays in the weather.
