We live within 15 minutes of this campground and go there all of the time. We love it! All of the staff is always friendly and helpful. Most of the sites are decent, the ones near Bruin Lake are even more so. Bruin Lake is on the chain lakes so with a boat you can explore all over. The only downside is there are no trails that connect to the campground, you have to go just a little further down near Half Moon Lake where the trails run through. Half Moon also has a decent beach, whereas the campground doesn't have any sand. Overall this is a great place though, our family has a great time each time we go there.

They ignored it and I guess no other campers were brave enough to confront them. Sign everywhere post this site as a "quiet zone", but it's a spin of the wheel who you'll be next to on a busy weekend. It could be idiot yeehaws with too much cheap beer in their bellies.

We'll be back, but never again on a busy night.

Great state park area. Bring a kayak or something for the water to truly appreciate the chain of lakes. Blind lake has the bluest water I have ever seen in an inland lake. Perfect way to escape.

Very clean. Very nice staff. Makes me wish I had a boat. You can go between all the connected lakes. With a kayak it was still very fun.

Denied entrance to the boat launch area. I pay my fees every year to use state parks. No where does it say you have to be camping there to use the boat launch/picnic area. Will not be coming back to pinckney. Too hard to get to anyway, and there are much better, friendlier parks out there.

On the positive, the Silver Lake trails are awesome. It's a 5 minute drive to get there and my kids loved the 2 mile trek.

Nice, except for the loud hillbilly campers. The site across from us stayed up until 1AM drinking and laughing and cursing and yelling, all very loudly. I was in tent directly across from them. I got up twice (11PM and 1AM) to ask nicely (more nice the first time) to turn it down a notch since I had little kids with me in our tent.
